When we meet for the initial consultation, either in person or over the phone, I will be carrying out an assessment of your needs to determine how I can help. I won’t be coming in to that consultation with a plan for you – we will arrive at that together based on several factors: my findings, the issue you need help with, the things you want to explore, and your wishes and preferences. So while I will start to formulate a plan during that consultation based on what I learn, it will be for us to decide together which therapies or approaches I utilise for the session. And that’s a movable plan, both within the session and for subsequent sessions, it’s never rigid or unchangeable – unless, of course, you prefer it to be. There will be structure, of course, but fluidity within that structure if we require it.
So each moment, and not just in the initial consultation, I’ll be reassessing to ensure my approach continues to be holistic, personalised to you, and doing its job. I’ll be doing that quietly and adjusting accordingly, but if you want to make changes based on your own reassessment, just let me know.
We’ll be looking at the whole of you, your mind, body and spiritual wellbeing, aiming for that important balance we’ve previously talked about. In terms of therapies, I might use Reiki, hypnosis, psychotherapy, hypnotherapy or EFT. You can choose, if you have a favourite, or you can be guided by me to choose which one is needed at the time. Don’t worry, we can’t make a mistake, there’s no wrong choice. They are all beautiful, wholesome therapies, so we can just go with the flow, wherever my suggestions and your preferences lead us.
